    Meet Nicholson’s Cocktail Guru

Making craft cocktails involves more than just following a recipe, it’s an art form. Joey Fredrickson, our cocktail guru and an essential part of our beverage program has it down to a science. It takes a lot of time, passion and knowledge!

Joey is the mastermind behind our brunch cocktail menu, our Aronoff show themed menus and our holiday specialty drinks. We like to call him our very own “Sir-Mix-A Lot.”

Making a trip to Findlay Market for an ingredient or getting to work early to create a fresh puree or infused liquor is part of the everyday routine for Joey.

Downtown Has a New Brunch Destination

If you’ve heard the buzz around town that we are going to start serving brunch, it’s true. Starting this Sunday, November 13th we are unveiling our new brunch menu. Our brunch menu will be available Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am – 4:00pm.

Why now? Nicholson’s has been downtown for 14 years. We are excited about everything that is happening around us. Right now Downtown Cincinnati is thriving and there just aren’t a lot of brunch options available.  We think now is the perfect time to open for brunch.

Looking For A Great Fall Drink Recipe?

To celebrate the launch of this year’s Woodford Proprietors Reserve we created the Burnt Orange Julep.  Inspired by the classic Kentucky cocktail the Mint Julep, we made our own version using our Woodford Proprietors Reserve and burnt orange simple syrup. It is served over ice and garnished with a burnt orange or burnt orange twist.
